Julie Greene is the award-winning Executive Director of Solar Cookers International, an NGO which promotes free, zero-emission solar thermal energy for sustainable cooking solutions in 124 countries. She also leads Solar Cookers International's advocacy efforts at the UN, focusing especially on improving the lives of poor women and girls. Previously Greene had a long background in maternal and infant health and education, and she is also a playwright.
