Barbara Sattler, RN, Dr.PH, a professor at the University of San Francisco and founding member of the Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments, an international organization that helps to integrate environmental health into nursing education, practice, research, and policy/advocacy, has worked with dozens of hospitals to reduce potentially toxic exposures, engage in environmentally friendly purchasing, reduce unnecessary waste, and address climate change.
